Learning | How Our Training is Developed & Validated
Effective substance use education requires rigorous development processes and comprehensive validation to ensure both clinical accuracy and measurable learning outcomes. DopaGE training has been systematically researched and developed since 2020, before launching with academic institutions in January 2025.
Evidence-Based Foundation
All learning materials are built exclusively from peer-reviewed, journal-published literature and authoritative government sources, including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Content is sourced by our team of neuroscience and public health researchers, with all selection criteria and materials subject to review and approval by our Clinical Board (see full member credentials and specialties on our Clinical Board page here).
This scientific foundation ensures that every component of the training curriculum reflects current research consensus and evidence-based best practices in substance use prevention education. Students receive information that has been validated through peer review and meets the standards expected in academic and healthcare settings.
Systematic Development Process
Once the foundational data is finalized, training scenarios are developed through a systematic collaboration between our clinical experts and multidisciplinary creative team. This process integrates medical expertise with educational design principles to create content that maintains clinical accuracy while optimizing learning effectiveness.
Each training module undergoes multiple review stages by our Clinical Board to ensure all topics are accurately and clearly presented to learners. This comprehensive validation process includes assessment of medical accuracy, educational appropriateness, and alignment with established learning objectives.
Optimized Learning Experience
The overall learner experience is architected by video game engineers and neuroscience-trained designers to create a platform that maximizes learners' attention, uses their time efficiently, and maintains engagement throughout the educational process.
This integration of evidence-based interactive learning technology with rigorous clinical oversight ensures that DopaGE training delivers both the credibility required by institutional stakeholders and the engagement necessary for effective knowledge retention among young adult learners.
The result is comprehensive substance use education that meets institutional quality standards while demonstrating measurable learning outcomes and, very importantly, feels fun.
