FAQ

Who is Team Awareness Combating Overdose (TACO)?

Team Awareness Combating Overdose (TACO) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission to combat drug overdoses among young adults by building a peer-to-peer culture that supports well-informed decisions with subsidized fentanyl test strips (FTS), and in states where applicable, naloxone.

T.A.C.O. was founded by Madeline Hilliard in 2020. It currently operates on 20+ campuses in over 12 states, and is rapidly expanding its student-run university chapter program! The team’s work has saved over 1100+ lives.

How do T.A.C.O. and DopaGE work together?

  • If your university has a T.A.C.O. chapter

    • Local chapter FTS distribution locations and how to contact your chapter will be made accessible through DopaGE.

  • If your university doesn’t have a T.A.C.O. chapter

    • We can connect you to T.A.C.O.’s team to start a chapter and expand peer-to-peer safe practices on your campus.

What does this mean about DopaGE’s education?

DopaGE’s education was built specifically with your students in mind and a proven track record of how to best meet students where they are. As a result, more students will retain and apply the information they learn through DopaGE.

How can I access T.A.C.O. resources?

To access T.A.C.O. resources, the non-profit recommends sourcing student leaders to start their own T.A.C.O. Chapter! Please contact cgo@tacoinc.org if you have more questions about the chapter process. They will walk you through the impact it can have on your university and the best place to find student leaders to run the club!
